TOILET FACILITIES FOR DRIVERS

For taxi and private hire drivers, information on publicly accessible toilet locations in key areas of London, including Heathrow and City airports, is available on the official website.

CONTACTLESS PAYMENT IN TAXIS

All taxi drivers are required to accept card and contactless payments through the TfL approved fixed card payment device located in the passenger compartment. Printed receipts must be provided upon request. Use of unapproved handheld payment devices may lead to penalties and fitness-to-license reviews.

TAXI-DEDICATED RAPID CHARGE POINT BAYS

Private hire vehicles are prohibited from using taxi-dedicated rapid charge point bays. Violators may be subject to a Penalty Charge Notice and potential licensing action. Report violations to TPHintel@tfl.gov.uk.
