The long waited for fully electric Mercedes EQV 300 Sports Model, is now on sale in the UK. The 90kWh lithium-ion the battery gives a driving range of 248-miles as per Mercedes with compact electric drivetrain (eATS) on the front axle. The charging goes from 10 to 80% in around 45 minutes at the maximum charge rate of 110kW. The car can be conveniently charged at home with a Mercedes-Benz wall box or a regular household plug socket.
The Standard equipment comprises of 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, the MBUS infotainment system including the navigator, reversing camera, Driver assistance package and electric sliding doors. There is also an eight-meter long charging cable. The premium sports models also include a 360 degrees camera.
Mercedes claims a top speed of 87mph. The chargeable batteries are enclosed in the floor smartly which do not occupy any extra space, and the cabin remains enormous as before. A voice-command feature that activates by saying 'Hey Mercedes' is also available. The Mercedes me' a smartphone app is a beautiful application that connects to the car and helps in route planning and temperature control before entering the luxury vehicle.
When the vehicle is moving the smart brake-energy recuperation system keeps the charge going to maximize the driving capacity. The energy lost during braking is sent back to the battery. The slowing is also done by removing the acceleration pedal and can bring the vehicle to stop without using the brake. The car uses the most energy-efficient driving style. The car can be driven using one pedal also.
