TFL News: Rank Suspensions and Road Updates Week 1 June

Update on 05-Jun-2023
ONLINE
LICENSING
Our online licensing process makes it faster and easier to apply for and renew taxi and private hire licenses. You can complete your entire application online, including payment, and track its progress. We strongly recommend that renewal applicants submit their applications as soon as possible to avoid delays. For existing drivers, renewal applications are processed based on the expiry date of their current license to ensure continuous licensing whenever feasible. New applications are processed in the order they are received.
TAXI-DEDICATED RAPID
CHARGE POINT BAYS
Private hire vehicles are not allowed to park or use taxi-dedicated rapid charge points. Drivers who violate this rule may receive a Penalty Charge Notice and may face licensing action. If you come across a vehicle parked in or using a taxi-dedicated rapid charge point bay inappropriately, please email TPHintel@tfl.gov.uk with images, along with the time, date, and location.
STAY SAFE WHILE
WORKING
The Metropolitan Police Service, in partnership with TfL, has created a leaflet for taxi and private hire drivers that provides practical information on how to keep your money and belongings safe while ensuring your personal safety. The leaflet also includes instructions on how to report any criminal activity witnessed while driving.
