The Prime Minister, Mr. Boris Johnson has announced a new Tier 4 restriction for London and East of England after alarmingly rising COVID 19 cases with a new strain of the virus which is spreading unusually spreading. Tier 4 means that all non-essential shops, hairdressers, Leisure, and entertainment venues remain closed strictly.

There is a new stay at home message introduced. Exempted people are those who need to travel for childcare and education. Households are not allowed to mix but one person can meet another in a public place. Childcare and support groups are also exempted. Residents are not allowed to stay overnight from home cannot travel abroad also.

For Christmas, the same rules apply and residents can not mix with other households. Only one resident can meet another household member for a walk etc. In the rest of England, the multiple households meeting has been reduced from a 5-day window between 23 and 27 to just Christmas Day. In the other parts of England, from 23-27 and Christmas Day, the time frame for most household meetings has been shortened from five-day windows.
