Transport for London News 13 Feb 2025

Update on 13-Feb-2025
Licensing System Improvement
Our new licensing system will go live later this month. Please be aware that our online licensing portal will be unavailable between 17:00 on Thursday 20 February and 10:00 on Monday 24 February while we upgrade our systems. If you are submitting a licence application online, it must be completed before 17:00 on Thursday 20 February. We apologise for any disruption this may cause.
Travel Disruption
Westminster City Council (WCC) is undertaking major works at Piccadilly Underpass, which will require the closure of the eastbound bore of the underpass from Monday 17 February until Friday 16 May. It will then be closed in both directions until 18 July. Additionally, WCC will be resurfacing Praed Street between Tanner Lane and South Wharf Road on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 February. Please read the road updates below for more information.
Pedicab Regulations
We want to hear your views on how pedicabs operate, the fares charged, how they should pick up passengers, as well as licensing requirements for drivers, owners, and operators. Our 6-week consultation is open until Friday 7 March. To read more about the proposals and to have your say, visit our consultation website.
