The Metropolitan Police Service and Transport for London (TfL) have created a leaflet for taxi and private hire drivers to help them keep their money and possessions safe while ensuring their personal safety. The leaflet also provides information on reporting criminal activity witnessed while driving.

Consultation on Improving Safety for Taxi and Private Hire Passengers

A consultation is taking place to improve safety and safeguarding for all passengers, particularly children and vulnerable adults. The Department for Transport's Statutory Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) Standards' remaining proposals will be implemented. You can share your views on the proposals' impact and suggest alternatives. Your feedback will help determine how taxi and private hire licensing requirements may change. The consultation closes on May 12, 2023.
