TRAVEL DISRUPTION
ALERT
Action short of a strike may affect some national rail train
operators until Saturday, 5 August, and from Monday, 7 August to Saturday, 12
August.

PUBLIC TOILET ACCESS
FOR DRIVERS
Taxi and private hire drivers can access toilets at publicly
accessible locations in key areas of London, including Heathrow and City
airports.

ONLINE SAFEGUARDING
AWARENESS COURSE
In line with the DfT's Statutory Standards for taxi and
private hire licensing, drivers are reminded to undertake our online
safeguarding awareness course.
Available to all taxi and private hire drivers and
applicants.
RAISING AWARENESS:
CHILD EXPLOITATION
The Metropolitan Police Service's Operation Makesafe aims to
raise awareness of child exploitation in the business community.
Recognize indicators of possible child exploitation and
report concerns to the Metropolitan Police on 101 (quote 'Operation Makesafe')
or call 999 if someone is in immediate danger.

"Hot Chip", "TINA - The Tina Turner Musical", "South
Facing Festival 2023", and more.
Expect increased demand for taxi and private hire services
in these areas due to these events.
ROAD UPDATES
Woolwich Ferry
Closure: Closed for essential dry docks works until Sunday 3 September.
Alternative river crossings suggested at Dartford, Blackwall, and Rotherhithe.
Ongoing Road
Closures: Details on closures at Great Cambridge Road, Tooley Street,
Vincent Road, A3 Borough High Street, Southwark Street, and Wandsworth Bridge.

TAXI RANK SUSPENSIONS
Temporary Suspensions: Several ranks will be temporarily out
of service, including 5757 Brompton Road, 4884 Matthew Parker Street, 5512
Sloane Square, 6007 New Cross Road, TR002 Margaret Street, 5807 Finsbury Square
(N/W Corner), 5758 Charing Cross Road, and 5396 Hammersmith Broadway.
The suspensions are due to various reasons such as utility
works, gas main replacement works, and crane operations.
