Travel Update Transport for London Latest News Week 1 June 2024

Update on 09-Jun-2024
Travel Update
A tram strike is planned from 20:00 on Thursday 11 July until 06:00 on Monday 15 July. Additionally, there are planned closures on some Tube lines over that weekend. This is likely to increase demand for taxi and private hire journeys within the affected areas. For detailed information, visit the TfL website.
DBS Update Service
TfL reminds all new and renewing taxi and PHV driver license applicants that it is a mandatory requirement to provide evidence of registration with the DBS Update Service. There are two windows to register with the DBS Update Service:
- Within 28 days from when you apply for your enhanced DBS check.
- Within 30 days from the date your DBS certificate is issued.
Failing to register within these periods will necessitate a new enhanced DBS check, incurring additional costs. For more details, see TfL's explanatory video, the two guidance documents here and here, and TPH Notice 07/23.
